What we collect
There are no accounts or sign-ups, and we never ask for an email address. The only form on the site is the optional review form on each blade's page.
The make, model and year you pick in the finder are remembered in your browser's session storage until you close the tab, so the finder is filled in when you come back during the same visit. This never leaves your browser.
Reviews you send
If you send a review, we store what you enter: your rating, how long you used the blades, how they are doing now, where you drive, and your text, plus your car and a name to show if you give them (both optional). We read every review before it appears. We may shorten it or fix typos. It is shown with the name you chose, or as 'WiperFinder reader'.
To stop spam, each review is stored with a one-way code made from your IP address, and one made from your browser type. These codes cannot be turned back into your address; we use them only to spot abuse and to limit how many reviews one connection can send. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs. These include your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and device type. We use these logs only to run the site, fix errors, and block abuse. We keep them only as long as those purposes need.
Amazon links
Links to Amazon are affiliate links. When you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies to credit us for purchases, and Amazon's privacy notice applies on Amazon's site. Amazon's reports to us show which products were ordered, never who ordered them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, such as under the EU GDPR or California law, you have rights over your data. You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, and complain to your data protection authority.

Children

When our practices change we update this page and the date at the top.
