Magazine test 16 blades rated

In August 2026, Car and Driver tested wiper blades by spraying vehicles with a hose to simulate light, medium, and heavy rain, running the wipers at intermittent, medium, and high speeds for 30 seconds each, followed by 30 seconds on dry glass to check for noise and streaks. Assessed across ease of installation, water removal, material quality, and price, no products received a rank, meaning none placed on top or finished ahead of another. The products also tested were Rain-X Latitude Water Repellency, Aero Voyager, Bosch Icon, Trico Flex, Rain-X Rugged XL, OEM Wiper Blades, Bosch Focus, Rain-X Silicone Endura, Duralast Flex, Motium All-Season, Trico Platinum, and Bosch Evolution.

Some drivers detest rain-repellent coatings. If those aren't for you, but you want the best of the best, Bosch Icons are the wiper blades to get.

MotorTrend, 2026

Magazine test 6 blades rated

In April 2026, MotorTrend evaluated windshield wiper blades by spreading washable paint on a Ford F-150 windshield, running the wipers for a single pass to determine clearing coverage using Photoshop, timing installation, and recording noise on dry glass with a sound level meter. Bosch Icon was designated Best Overall, with notable recognition given to TotalPro TPB22 as Best Budget, Duralast DL22 as Quickest to Install, and Rain-X Quantum (Elite) for Clever Design. Duralast DLF22N and Old Control Wipers (Rain-X Rugged XL) were also tested.

Bosch’s Icon wiper blades proved themselves best in our test—and there’s very good reason for that. They’re relatively affordable, easy to install, and outperformed the competition.

Magazine test 5 blades rated

In March 2026, Car Talk installed windshield wiper blades on test vehicles and conducted two rounds of dry swipes, washer fluid swipes, and running water tests to assess installation, ease of use, durability, and performance. Rain-X Latitude 2-In-1 Water Repellent Wiper Blades earned the top spot as the best overall blade, followed by Michelin Stealth Ultra Beam Wiper Blades in second place and Anco Contour Wiper Blade in third. BOSCH ICON Beam Wiper Blades and Trapo Hydrophobic Silicone All-Season Wiper Blades were also tested.

This blade is highly rated and performed well in our hand-on tests.

Automoblog, 2025

Retailer or affiliate test 4 blades rated

In May 2025, Automoblog evaluated windshield wiper blades on a test vehicle by running them at an identical speed under a hose spray and reviewing 60 fps high-definition video in slow motion to assess water removal and streaking. Assessing performance, durability, and installation on a five-star scale, Bosch ICON Wiper Blades finished in first place with a score of 4.6 stars. Aero Avenger took second place with 4.3 stars, followed by Rain-X Latitude in third and Michelin Stealth Ultra in fourth, which each received 4.0 stars.

While slightly costlier than other models, the Bosch Icon wiper blades performed the best in our rigorous testing process.
